Outstanding Cambridge Learners in Egypt
As you all know that every Year University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) celebrates the success of Egyptian students for a broad range of qualifications (IGCSE, AS and A levels). Winners are normally announced at the Excellence in Egypt ceremony which was due to take place in March 2011 and has been postponed to December 2011 due to the circumstances in Egypt.
We are pleased to announce that from Misr Language Schools Mostafa Ahmed Abd elaziz El Hakim was awarded Top in Cairo for Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second. We are proud of Mostafa and thankful for his extremely dedicated, committed, one of a kind Mrs. Iman Salama. "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." - William Arthur Ward
Mrs. Iman, without you we would have never been able to make it among other British schools that have been offering IGCSE for ages. Thanks to you we were able to achieve only in a couple of years what other schools haven’t been able to accomplish in decades! Winners for June 2010 who will be celebrated in December 2011. Why IGCSE?
IGCSE caters for different levels of ability with a choice between core and extended papers in many subjects. The core curriculum is based on an overview of the subject and is suitable for students expected to achieve grades C to G. The extended curriculum is more challenging and designed for students who are expected to achieve grades A* to C. Grades achieved through either route has the same value.
IGCSE offers a flexible course of study that gives candidates the freedom to choose subjects that are right for them, whilst providing them with a broad knowledge base and lifelong skills. IGCSE courses are renowned for developing vital educational skills, including recall of knowledge, oral skills, problem solving, initiative, team work and investigative skills. The resulting qualification provides a foundation for higher level courses, such as A and AS Levels, the Advanced International Certificate of Education.
The highly sought-after IGCSE & GCSE are qualifications that are recognised throughout the world. They provide you with the basic qualification for entrance to higher and professional studies in Egypt and in other countries
“What’s special about the IG is the pedagogy. The way information is being delivered to the student enhances creativity and problem-solving abilities. It is not based on one’s ability to memorise but rather on one’s ability to think and solve problems”
